GENERAL GUIDELINES
- The Best of SOX Video-Making Competition is OPEN ONLY to SOCCSKSARGEN-based film-making enthusiasts, videographers, vloggers, content creators, students, or anyone interested in video production (group or individual)
- Joining is FREE and NO REGISTRATION is required.
- Deadline for submission of entries is on June 30, 2020, 5:00 PM
- Announcement of winners: to be announced
CONTEST RULES
1. Submit a short video which
showcases how you can promote SOX or SOCCSKSARGEN as a premier destination.
Show the world what SOX is made of - tourist destinations, heritage, people,
culture, products, fun experiences, etc!
2. SOCCSKSARGEN or Region 12 is composed of the provinces of
South Cotabato, Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat and Sarangani, and the cities of
Koronadal, Tacurong, Kidapawan, and General Santos - entrant should include in
his/her video entry features from at least 3 out of the 4 provinces and or 4
cities that comprises SOX.
3. Only one (1) entry per participant / team is allowed.
4. The length of the video should not be shorter than 3
minutes and should not exceed 5 minutes.
5. All entries should start with a 3-second black screen and
end with a 5-second title screen that would include the following: Title of
Video entry, Name of Participant or team members, and the logos of soxph.com
& mymindanao.com
6. All entries must be submitted through email –
soxphonline@gmail.com, with a minimum resolution size of 1280x720.
7. Acceptable file formats include: MP4, MOV, AVI, WMV, MPG.
8. Entries may use the following languages: English,
Filipino or Visayan. Subtitles are encouraged, but not required.
9. Entry must be the original work, owned and recorded by
the participant and must not have been used and/ or entered in any other
contest.
10. Participants shall have authority/permission to use the
name, images and sound and video recordings of all persons who are recognizable
in the video.
11. Submission of entries is on or before June 30, 2020,
5:00 PM.
12. No copyrighted materials (music, images, etc.) or
trademarks may be used unless you own the copyright or have a license to use
the material for this contest.
13. The organizer of the competition do not assume any
responsibility for any violation of intellectual property by any entrant.
14. Submission of an entry signifies the acceptance of the
rules and regulations of the contest. The Organizers reserves the right to
publish or display any entry (in whole or part), winning or non-winning, for
promotional purposes, with due acknowledgement of the original owner of the
video. Such right to use is royalty-free and no payment is, or shall be due to
the participant.
15. The Organizer reserves the right to amend the contest
rules as it deems fit, without prior notice.
16. Decision of the judges is final. However, violation of
any above-stated rules and/or non-compliance of the same shall be a ground for
automatic disqualification.
17. The criteria of judging are as follows:
Composition
- 30%
Relevance to the Theme - 30%
Creativity - 20%
Originality - 20%
18. Prizes:
1st Prize - P30,000
2nd Prize - P15,000
3rd
Prize - P10,000
People’s Choice Award - P5,000
19. People’s Choice Award Mechanics - The Top 10 finalists will
be posted in the Facebook Page of I Love SOX PH, My Mindanao (fb.com/nanardxph).
The entry with the most number of likes will win the People’s Choice Award.
Voting for the People’s Choice Award will run for a week from the day of
posting.
